Quantum Sadness

Fission,

a stable particle
is attacked
by

an electron
traveling at unknown speeds
into unknown orbits

fracturing all that was before
into two
distinct,
inseparable
pieces.

One errant electron -
small,
obsolete,
unforeseen -
can spin everything
the other way.

But for every fission
there is
promise
of fusion

again.
